Description

Turnip gratin

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of turnips, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 200ml whipping cream
  • 1 clove of garlic, peeled
  • 1 sprig of thyme
  • dash white wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon butter

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180c. Simmer the cream, garlic, thyme, white wine vinegar and a pinch of salt for 3 minutes. Butter a small gratin dish and layer the turnip, seasoning each layer with salt and pepper. Strain the cream over the turnips and cook in the oven for 30-40 minutes.
