Meet the team
Jean - Managing Director
I am one of the founders of Local Greens. I bring years of conservation volunteering, an interest in the environment and solid finance and management experience to the not for profit sector. Before Local Greens I worked in accountancy practie, the city in commodities and commercial banking, and then in film and television. As a finance professional, I am passionate about running 'green not for profit' businesses as commercial enterprises.
Susan - Customer and Operations Manager
I started out volunteering with Local Greens about a year after it started before moving into this role. I have always enjoyed working in food and before this worked in hospitality as a trainer and lecturer from food service to production.
Alex - Marketing Manager
I really enjoy working with the team at Local Greens, we're passsionate about buying locally and sharing our love of good food with the local people and this comes across in the relationships we have with the local community.
Nicola - Social Media
Nicola previously worked at Local Greens as a packer, between children she did a digital mums course and is now back as our social media guru.
Antoinette - Customer care and admin
Antoinette brings her varied professional experience in pharmaceuticals and property management to Local Greens. She deals with all our customer queries in a calm and detailed way and provides cover in other roles when needed.
We have a great packing and delivery team members who are all trained to interchange between the roles of packing manager, delivery driver and logistics coordinator:
- Jimmy Ben & Dawn (currently not working due to Covid)
- We also have a team of fantastic volunteers who form a reliable and dedicated team of packers every Thursday. Without them we wouldn't be able to get you such great veg at such great prices!
